Tandia

ISBN-13:9780143004547

Tandia sat waiting anxiously for the fight to begin between the man she loved the most and the man she hated the most in the world.

Tandia is a child of Africa: half Indian, half African, beautiful and intelligent, she is only sixteen when she is first brutalised by the police. Her fear of the white man leads her to join the black resistance movement, where she trains as a terrorist.

With her in the fight for justice is the one white man Tandia can trust, the welterweight champion of the world, Peekay. Now he must fight their common enemy in order to save both their lives.
A heartbreaking tale by the bestselling author of The Power of One

Simply the best. After reading the Power Of One (adults edition) at 12 years old I was pining for Peekay. Thank you Bryce, for such a complex, amazing novel that you can simply cannot put down.

I just finished this book and absolutely loved it. When I finished The Power of One I wanted the story to continue and this allowd that to happen. Bringing back many of the charachters from TPOO helped tie the stories together. I recommend Tandia to anyone who enjoyed The Power of One.

Just finished reading Tandia, after looking at it for years on my shelf. Read The Power Of One several years ago and never "got round" to reading the sequel. What a story I found, such a fitting and wonderful continuation of Peekay's world. Amazing.

Tandia is the second book of Bryce Courtenay's I have read. Another very emotional book with events happening I never imagined. Just like the first book I read, WhiteThorn. Recommended to anyone wanting to understand some of Africas' history of the Black people.
