'Please accept my apologies that unfortunately I'm no longer doing book signings due to the arthritis which plagues my wrists and makes it impossible to personally sign so many copies at once.'
I had the pleasure of reading your 1st book back in 1990, before you hit the big time. I lent my copy to as many friends and family as I could after that. As we all know, when you read a GREAT book, you just want to share it. Well I did, and never saw my copy again. However I replaced it many years later with a paperback edition, after you signed my copy of Mathew Flinders Cat in Perth. I'm writing with great excitement today. I bought another copy of 'Power" - hard cover 1989 - William Heinemann Australia. Could this be the one I read, long ago. Was this the original first printing. Are they the ones that trusted in you. I hope so. And if so, I thank them. Take care. Love to see you back in Perth. Carolyn.

As an Audible.com fan I have listened to the three books of the Potato Factory which I enjoyed very much. I have now finished The Power Of One - a fabulous book - and I just got Tandia, can't wait to find out what happens next to PK. All of the books are fantastically read by Humphrey Bower who really brings the characters to life. Thanks to both of you for many hours of enjoyment. Jerry

Mr Courtenay, It is an absolute pleasure to read your books and experience your writing. I am only sorry that I haven't discovered you a lot earlier. I now am in a quest to purchase and read every book you have written. For a writer to touch the hearts, minds and souls of their reader, it must be a wonderful feeling. You write with a powerful passion and are extremely gifted in your writing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your extraordinary talent. I very much look forward to reading the remainder of your books. Thank you again Mr Courtenay and Take Care.

I have not ever had the privilege of meeting you, but have read everyone of you books. Very sorry to hear about your arthritis, I hope, from a selfish point of view, that it dose not stop you writing as you are an inspiration.

Keep up the good work, and don't give up.

Dear Mr Courtney
If you ever have time you may get a chuckle from the following Australian bush poem which made me think of Brother Fish and the demands of the various ladies to get Jacko and Jimmy to buck. It is called Turbulence by Murray Hartin. Here is a link
You have rekindled in me the desire to read. The visual pictures you paint allow me to Feel what you are writing. Tandia, Jessica, Sylvia, Brother Fish are all brought to life in my mind. I start each book with anticipation but finish each with sadness that story is over. THANK YOU

Sad to hear the arthritis causes you pain.I wish i could say the latest offering Danny Dunn was inspiring to me perhaps at the end you will be apologising to the many groups of people you offend in the book.I am tiring a little of the shock tactics you employ in your book.i would have to say that your best book was april fools day and your next best power of one with the next one being whitethorn.i am surprised that Penguin doesn't seal your books and provide a warning to those intending to read!

It was a great privilege to meet you in Canberra late last year. You are an inspirational speaker and writer. Happy to forego the book signings if it means you manage to write another great book. Very best wishes for Christmas to you and your family, and a safe, happy New Year to you all.
